I do not like fighting terrorism with torture. It makes no sense. None. It is a response based on fear, not reason. And fear is deadly. To the fearful.

But. I do like that we are spending all this energy debating it. Andrew Sullivan will not let go of the issue. Neither will The New York Times, even though they often disagree. The new president’s feet are being held to the fire, so to speak, over the issue. Rightly so.

I am glad to be a citizen of a country where my fellows fight tyranny. Either our own or from others.

Walk well. God is love.
