health and joy

Two Weeks

Posted on | May 27, 2009 | 4 Comments

I remembered from 24 years ago that bruised/cracked ribs take two weeks to heal. I lost the pain today. Thirteen days after my fall. My amazing body. Self-mending. I had been taking over-the-counter pain killers so that I could sleep. That’s all I did.

Cauliflower. Such a jewel. Seven months to grow. Some cabbages, one cauliflower, and some broccoli left. Then none for awhile. Too warm.

Still getting a lot of strawberries. And artichokes! A bigger one in the center, with three artichoke moons. Smaller ‘chokes surrounding the first one. Potatoes. Amazing flavor and texture. Such joy. Squash. Carrots. It’s May, and the garden is so very bountiful.

Walk well. God is love.

Glad you are feeling better JJ.

I picked up a thru at the Palm Springs airport and dropped him off on the trail in Anza by the Hiker Oasis water cache. Oh, did I want to get on the trail with him.

    Do you miss the trail?

    gottago

I miss the trail a lot. A constant struggle between living my other life and the trail.

    Hi JJ
I’m glad your pain has gone.
How about some new pictures of your garden?
    Please…:)
