I did not make it to Joqauin Miller Park yesterday. It was hot. That is a reason. Not an excuse. And I missed the quick walking. So I got up early and went this morning. Locked the face of the radio in the trunk. There is a lot of broken glass alongside the road near the trailhead. This is Oakland. And it was early. I had the trail to myself. And I had forgotten about the cobwebs. The first one through gets to pull them down. While listening to Fleetwood Mac.

It was beautiful. And the heat from yesterday was held down on the trail by the trees overhead.

Back home. A pear, gouda, toast, and coffee on the deck with a view of the garden and of the Bay.

Life is sweet.

Walk well. God is love.
