Back again; the same old pair
Merry Christmas; Happy New Year

One of those things that has stuck with me. James F. “Pop” Threatt sent us a Christmas card in maybe 1955 with that doggerel. He was the first man I knew who was avuncular. Though I did not know the word then.

Another thing I remember: the first nationally televised toll free telephone number commercial campaign: Sheraton Hotels. One-eight-oh-oh-three-two-five-three-five-three-five. Try it. It still works. Maybe 1968.

Oh, and another thing I remembered today: how much fun it is to walk in Joaquin Miller Park. [ grins ]

I met two others who exclaimed about the beauty of the day and of the trail. Exponential joy.

Walk well. God is love.

Old Man Walking - a site written by an old man who walks. And writes code for web pages. And gardens. The site is intended to allow me to share my experience in these areas. That's all.
