The end of the day

and I am grateful for Elaine and Palestrina.
A sweet time with Elaine, her sister and brother-in-law. Very good food. Kindness. Maturity. Intelligence. A fineness.
And for Palestrina? The beginning of the new sound.
Doesn’t sound new, does it? But it is not plainchant. It is polyphony.
What a good thing. To listen to Palestrina at the end of a full day.
